It was the first time in 2016 that Apple worked on an iPhone with a surround screen. And three years later, Apple still seems to be interested and is driving the technology.
According to a recent report from Patently Apple, the technology company Cupertino has filed a patent for the full screen, which is based on the patent of a similar technology of 2017 to optimize the patent or details that have already been registered.
This means that this patent is not completely new. However, the fact that Apple has updated the patent shows that the company may be actively working on the technology.
The new patent comes with the addition of an “endless loop” of a glass screen around a device. Looking at the sketches of the patent, the screen works on the front and back of an iPhone.
Also noteworthy is the strange elliptical design of the iPhone in the patent.
Another interesting feature of the old iPhone patent is that it was already filed in 2011, although it was approved in 2017.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is one of the first devices on the market to use surround screen technology. Although Xiaomi calls it a conceptual device.
Samsung also filed a patent for a smartphone with a surround screen in 2014, which was later thought to be used on the Galaxy Note 4.
